pi-top is a STEM education company on a mission to make STEM learning fun and engaging for students — and easy for teachers. Built around the Inquiry-Based Learning methodology, our Raspberry Pi-based CS & Robotics Kits and simple, student-facing learning platform let students learn by doing, while giving teachers everything they need to run hands-on STEM lessons with confidence, no matter their technical background. Our proprietary AI tools let students practice using AI in a safe, teacher-controlled environment, and make it easy for teachers to quickly modify lessons or create new ones to meet their students’ needs.
We’re looking for someone who knows classrooms from the inside — a current or former STEM teacher or school media specialist — to share the pi-top story with schools across NYC, New York State, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. You won’t be selling from a script; you’ll be showing fellow educators how pi-top makes STEM learning fun for students and easy for teachers, because you’ve lived the problem yourself.
This is a field-first role, but not field-only. You’ll spend much of your time in schools and districts across the region — demonstrating the platform, running workshops, and building relationships with teachers, media specialists, curriculum leaders, and administrators — and you’ll drive the rest of your pipeline through email campaigns in HubSpot and regular phone outreach.
• Visit schools and districts across NYC, NYS, CT, and MA to introduce pi-top to teachers and school leaders
• Deliver engaging, classroom-credible demonstrations and hands-on workshops of the pi-top platform
• Build and manage a pipeline of school and district opportunities, from first conversation to closed partnership
• Execute targeted email campaigns through HubSpot and regular phone outreach to open doors and nurture your pipeline
• Represent pi-top at education conferences, PD days, and regional events
• Act as the voice of the classroom internally, feeding teacher and student insights back to our product team
• A current or former STEM teacher (5–10 years of classroom experience) or school media specialist
• Charismatic, fun, and engaging — the kind of person teachers remember after one meeting
• A natural storyteller who can translate education technology into classroom impact
• Self-directed and comfortable managing your own schedule and territory
• Comfortable with CRM-driven email and phone outreach — HubSpot experience is a plus
• Based in the region and willing to travel regularly to schools across NYC, NYS, CT, and MA (valid driver’s license preferred)
• Sales experience is a plus, but not required — we’ll teach you sales; we can’t teach you the classroom
• Base salary of $75,000–$95,000 per year, depending on experience
• On-target earnings (OTE) of $140,000–$160,000
• Commission is uncapped — our top performers earn well beyond OTE, and your earning potential grows with every school you bring on
• Health, dental, and vision insurance
• 401(k) retirement plan
• Paid time off
• Travel expenses reimbursed
Apply online at info.pi-top.com/careers-regional-sales-representative — submit your resume and a short note about your classroom experience. We’d especially love to hear about a lesson or project that got your students genuinely excited about STEM.
